South Washington County Schools (SoWashCo Schools) and the United Teachers of South Washington County (UTSWC) met for their 10th public negotiation session on Oct. 24.

Open items were reviewed including proposals from the union that had been emailed to the district prior to Session 9. UTSWC presented three new proposals at the meeting. SoWashCo Schools brought one updated language proposal.

Following the presentations, each group caucused by meeting in separate rooms to discuss the proposals. The groups returned and had additional conversations regarding the new proposals brought forth by the union. The district again notified UTSWC that the district would not be providing any counter offers to economic proposals until all proposals have been given to the district. 

The next negotiation session between SoWashCo Schools and UTSWC is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 9.
