The Park and Woodbury high school boys soccer teams both advanced to the semifinals this week in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) State Tournament.

The Park Boys Soccer Team earned the title of Section 3AAA Champions last week after they defeated the No. 1 seed Rosemount section championship. The win sent Park to the state tournament for the first time in nearly 30 years.

Cottage Grove Fire and Police gave the Wolfpack a community sendoff on Tuesday with an escort down the frontage road on their way to Farmington High School where the Wolfpack beat Minnetonka 1-0 in the quarterfinal game of the state tournament. 

The Wolfpack will play vs. the winner of the Maple Grove-Andover game on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. at US Bank Stadium.

The Woodbury High School boys soccer team advanced to the semifinals on the other side of the state tournament bracket on Tuesday night.

The Royals claimed the Section 4AAA Championship against Stillwater last week. The Royals won in a shootout 2-1 defending the section championship and returned to the state tournament for a second year. 

The Royals beat New Prague 6-0 in the quarterfinal game of the state tournament at Farmington High School. The Royals play Wayzata in the semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 8 a.m. at US Bank Stadium.
